"Koeien" Piezograph by Han Bennink

from €85.00

This is a historic, hand-numbered, limited-edition piezograph created by Han for Misha’s final piece, his 2015 opera Koeien. 100 piezographs were created, we are selling the last few here.

The piezograph itself is 46cm x 32cm unframed. There are three settings to choose from: 1) We have one copy which has been professionally framed in glass and aluminum, it weighs just over 2kg so international shipping will be adjusted accordingly upon checkout. 2) We have several copies that have been professionally mounted on foamcore. These are under 2kg. 3) We have the piezograph itself, unmounted and unframed. This will be shipped in a heavy-duty cardboard tube.

Piezography is a printing technique just like screen printing, lithography or offset printing. In piezography, a high-precision print head sprays tiny droplets of ink on the paper, very similar to the way a inkjet printing works. The critical difference in piezography is in the high quality of the ink and the paper. The 12 color inks and special coatings ensure dazzling colors, a deep black range, and color-fastness for more than 100 years, thus meeting the highest demands of artists, photographers, graphic artists, galleries and museums.
